Takahisa Kajimoto (梶本 貴久, Kajimoto Takahisa) is the serious and soft-spoken captain of Jōsei Shonan tennis team.

Appearance[]

He has medium brown colored hair, which is spiked in the back and with long side bangs in the front. His eyes are purple in color and his left ear is pierced. Like a majority of the other tennis club captains in the series, Kajimoto is also rather tall and slender with a pointed chin,. His slender form also has an extreme amount of natural flexibility, which allows him to perform his serve, the L-Drill Serve.

Personality[]

He is a serious and soft-spoken person. Kajimoto, however, is also an extremely realistic person and does not fall victim to rumours. He does not trust anything or anyone easily until he has seen the evidence with his own eyes. This is evident when he objects to Tezuka being his Junior Selection team's coach due to his age and status. A practice match between the two later soon makes him change his mind.

Kajimoto is generally nice but loves to crush his opponents, especially when they appear to be too over confident. Even when angered he manages to keep a calm manner and voice. He claims that his team does not mind being called "Masterpieces". While other people might take it the wrong way, Kajimoto is very mature and says that they should not misunderstand.

L-Drill Serve

His flexibility is used in his serve, the L-drive Serve, where he bends his entire body back and releases it like a catapult. This serve has been seen in the anime to go 197 kilometers per hour. This is likened to Hyōtei's Chōtarō, whose Scud Serve could reach up to 200 kilometers per hour.

Etymology[]

  • The name Takahisa means "valuable" (貴) (taka) and "long time" (久) (hisa).
  • Takahisa's surname Kajimoto means "sculling oar" (梶) (kaji) and "base, root, origin, source" (本) (moto).

Trivia[]

  • He is one of the three members of the Josei Shonan tennis club that is mentioned in the manga and appears in the anime.
