Summary[]
Ryoma turns around to leave the stadium and a crying Dan behind. He tells Dan to pass on a message to Akutsu though: that, someday, the two of them will play again.
Akutsu wakes up on the bench and realizes he lost the match. In line with the conditions from the before the match, he grabs his back and heads towards the exit. As Akutsu is leaving, Byoudouin tells him that he will win this tournament and in 2 years it will be Akutsu's turn.
At the exit, Amadeus also has some parting words for Akutsu, ensuring him that he will turn into a great player. Akutsu immediately becomes aggressive, but ultimately leaves it at that. He is shown on a plane with Sengoku.
This marks the end of the group league. Japan advances as second in their group to the main tournament, which will begin in two days.
