Summary[]
Ryoma and Oliver are confirmed to play in the first match.
- Attendant: No doubt about it, that's the pair of the two brothers, Echizen Ryoga and Echizen Ryoma."
- Ryoma: "That's right, isn't it, Ryoga?"
Oliver is a 3rd year in high school. The two of them step onto the court. Their opponents from the Tsube Republic are looking at them.
Nobuteru talks to Ryoma in Tsube.
- Nobuteru: "What's up with your teammates? And here I was hoping the United States would be disqualified. What's supposed to become of my summer vacation now?"
Ryoma and Oliver can't understand Nobuteru since he's talking in Tsube, but feel he said something offensive.
- Ryoma: "You know what's going on, aren't you?"
- Nobuteru: "I'm gonna walk all over your dreams."
The match begins.
- Announcement: "The first match of the U-17 Pre-WC Exhibition begins now."
Nobuteru tosses the ball up.
- Nobuteru: "Burning scattered fireworks. Nobody can stop me."
Oliver gets overwhelmed by the serve.
- Ryoma: "I told you to just stand there."
Nobuteru keeps relentlessly attacking Oliver and overwhelms him to the point that Oliver gets ridiculed by the audience. Against Ryoma he hits underhand serves since he feels it's not worth playing seriously against a child. Ryoma returns the ball with a trick shot and catches Nobuteru off-guard. Chance ball! Oliver poaches, but Nobuteru yells something to intimidate him, causing him to loosen the grip on his racket and miss the shot.
- Ryoma: "Hey, that was a foul, right referee?"
- Referee: "I-I didn't see anything."
- Ryoma: "..."
Nobuteru then uses his racket as a microphone substitute and starts singing.
