Aoi Hanamura (華村 葵, Hanamura Aoi) is the coach of the team who refers to her students as masterpieces and constantly tries to recruit new students, especially Ryoma Echizen.
Appearance[]
Hanamura is a very beautiful woman who is noted for her physical attractiveness in the anime by several characters with shoulder-length auburn hair that has bangs swept over the right side of her face, brown eyes, round spectacles, bright pink lipstick, a mole on the right side of her chin, a curvy body and large breasts.
She tends to wear clothing which shows off her curvy figure.
Personality[]
Hanamura is often proud of her own prowess and of her pupils, but she is otherwise a very calm and professional woman who is very caring of her students and she is sharp in noticing talents she wish to recruit.
Background[]
Hanamura is the coach of Josei Shonan Junior High, thus an anime only character and she plays a large role in the original anime during the Kanto Junior Selection Camp.
She refers to her students as masterpieces (going so far as to call Reiji Shinjō her greatest "Masterpiece") and constantly tries to recruit new students, especially Ryoma Echizen and then later Takeshi Momoshiro (alongside Hajime Mizuki who wanted to recruit Kaoru Kaidō for St. Rudolph Academy).
Etymology[]
- The name Aoi means "hollyhock, althea" (葵).
- Aoi's surname Hanamura means "flower, petal" (華) (hana) and "town, village" (村) (mura).
Trivia[]
- The students of Josei Shonan all call Hanamura by her given name, Hanamura-sensei.
- Despite only being seen in the anime, Hanamura is also the coach of Josei Shonan in the manga.
