Kenjirō Koishikawa (小石川 健二郎, Koishikawa Kenjirō)
Background[]
The vice-captain of Shitenhoji, but has almost no role in the story. He was originally intended to play a larger role, but this was cut when Konomi had to move Chitose to Shitenhōji, and the team wound up with an extra player.
Koishikawa is more known for analyzing the situation and the atmosphere of the matches than for his capability to play. He depends on his calm judgment to support Captain Shiraishi from the shadows
Appearance[]
Kenjiro has spiky brown hair, in a similar fashion to Momoshiro.
Personality[]
Kenjiro is apparently, according to himself, regularly ignored. He is very disturbed by this matter, and gets angry when someone does ignore him.
History[]
One Year Prior To The Storyline[]
Its is shown in an OVA, that Kenjiro along with Shiraishi Kuranosuke, Oshitari Kenya, Konjiki Koharu, Hitouji Yuuji are regulars for the club in their 2nd year and are preparing for the Nationals,
Nationals[]
He first appears when the representatives of each team are picking their draws for the team of which they are to face at the start of the Nationals. He's present beside Shiraishi, however he is not introduced during the Nationals arc, but rather during the Seigaku-Shitenhouji joint training camp in the Another Story OVA. It is then that Konjiki Koharu reveals that Kenjiro is the vice-captain of the club which surprises Zaizen and Tooyama who claimed that they had no idea and the response greatly angers Kenjiro.
Prior To The U-17 Camp[]
Shown during the Another Story OVA, Kenjiro and the rest of the Shitehoji tennis club welcome Seigaku to their school for a joint training session after the nationals.
