It was way back then when it first aired in the local television, “The Prince of Tennis” caught my attention due to its unique storylines and interesting characters (just when I thought the story would revolve around only about Ryoma Echizen). One of the most interesting (and fantastical) part about prince of tennis is the different states and and modes that the players can go into. I've noticed on the wiki that the descriptions for a lot of said states were not very long, because Konomi doesn't give us a lot to go on. So, this article will be based majorly on opinion. This is mainly out of curiousity towards the entire series, but on this Prince of Tennis wikia site, where it talks about the match results for different players, it says that the matches take place in 2008. My question is that wouldn't the series actually take place in 2001?

The reason I say this is because at one point in the series Ryoma goes to America to play in the US Open, and it states that he defeated the #1 ranked player, Lleyton Hewitt, however, Hewitt was only ranked #1 once in his career and he gained that ranking on November 19, 2001.

This question is purely out of curiousity, I really couldn't care less, I was just wondering if the series was following a specific timeline or if it was just going along on its own.

I realize this is a back to back blog post but I thought I would give an update status for me. School has started back up again and with homework every night, after school activities, writing, and trying to keep contact with my friends; my edits might not be as big or quite as frequent as before. I'm going to start working on the episodes and chapters next so there's a heads up there. So happy right now because I have just been given Administrative and Bureaucratic rights for this wikia so that means, *insert drum roll*, better edits! Despite all my edits most of them are little things or clean ups from most main pages. I realize I'm pretty lazy at editing the more larger ones that need the most help like episodes or chapters. It might be because I do most of my editing late at night that I'm too tired to make big changes later or I'm not too confident on my writing/editing skills yet. Okay I've been editing stuff on here for at least 2 years now and after looking through, there are some changes that really need to be made. There are tons of useless pages that are made out of spite and pure random stupidity that need to be removed or fixed. I've been trying to edit more recently and I'm getting frustrated with the changes I see. I'm just a kid that simply likes to be able to read things in a simple and easy to read format.
