Betrayal and Bargaining (Uragiri to Kōshō, 裏切りと交渉) is the sixth episode of the New Prince of Tennis OVAs.
Summary[]
シャッフルマッチ第3試合、「コート上の交渉人」の異名を持つNo.7君島と
「処刑人」と呼ばれるNo.8遠野ペアに対するのは、丸井＆木手ペア。
異色の組み合わせだが、縮地法を生かした木手の守備力は丸井の妙技を際立たせ、
理想的な戦いぶりを見せる。しかしそんな中学生ペアの善戦にも君島は余裕の笑みを崩さない。
その時、木手の打球が突然丸井に襲い掛かる！豹変する木手の態度。
君島の交渉はすでに成立していたのだ…！
Differences from the Manga[]
- Marui does not ask Kimijima for his autograph.
- Kite's flashback with Kimijima is more focused on while Marui's flashback isn't shown.
- Jackal is shown throughout the episode to either be crying over Marui pairing up with Kite or getting angry at Kite for betraying Marui.
- Both Jiroh and Fuji have lines in the anime compared to the manga where they have only facial expressions.
