Abare Ishii is a very minor character from Yamahigashi High who was one of the participants of the under 16 Kakinokizaka Junior Tennis Tournament held in Kakinokizaka Tennis Garden in the first episode. He is 16 years old. He is never shown in the series. He is placed at 47th position on the match sequence board just above Ryoma and was supposed to be his first opponent in the tournament. However Ryoma was not able make it in time, due to Sakuno misleading him at the station and so the match was defaulted.
